Twenty Nine!

On September 12th I turned 29!! Yikes! How can I be 29 already?! It's hard to believe that I am only one year away from the big 3-0!! With that being said, I have full intention of making the last year in my 'twenties' the VERY best!! My birthday was pretty low key this year, but I was fortunate enough to spend it with my wonderful family and a few friends! 

My parents hosted a birthday dinner for me on the Sunday before my birthday! I had requested a wiener roast and fire however the weather had other plans and it was POURING rain! 

SO we just had a BBQ instead!

It is also one of my favourites!!

My actual birthday was a Friday, so my Mom and Kellen took me out for lunch! 

My special birthday dessert!

After lunch Sophia and I headed home for some afternoon snuggles and a quick nap!

Cody and Brit sent me beautiful flowers!!

And my wonderful husband came home with flowers for me as well!

When Damian got home from work he insisted I open my gifts STAT! ha!

~I was pretty impressed with his wrapping!!~

And I absolutely LOVED my first birthday card from Sophia!!

That evening my parents watched Sophia for a few hours so we could go out for my birthday dinner!

Woo hoo! Date night for us! 

We headed downtown to a new restaurant called Bar Bricco! It is a super tiny restaurant right next door to one of our favourite places, Corso 32!  Bar Bricco was AMAZING!! The food was incredible and the restaurant had such a neat 'feel' to it! We will definitely be going back soon! 

We started out with the Egg Yolk Raviolo! It was melt in your mouth AMAZING!!

Then we had the Pea Shoots and Arugula Salad! Another AMAZING dish!!

Then we shared a meat tasting plate and a cheese tasting plate! DELISH!!

And I had a few Bellini's!!

After our wonderful dinner we heading to Vi's for Pies to have dessert! 

I had a yummy German chocolate cake and Damian had white chocolate cheesecake! 

I had a WONDERFUL 29th Birthday and am so lucky to have shared it with my family and friends!! 

Here's to another amazing year!!

Our Summer in Rewind!

It's hard to believe that it's already the middle of September and summer 2014 has come and gone! We had an awesome summer and we were busy adapting to our new life as a family of three as we enjoyed the heat and festivities that summertime brings! I'm once again behind in my blogging so I've decided to do just one GIANT post accumulating all of our summer pictures! 

This is what our summer looked like...

We visited many local farmers Markets over the summer!

We celebrated Damian's parents 45th wedding anniversary at the Hotel MacDonald!

Sophia slept through the entire celebration! Ha!

We celebrated Jenn and Robyn's 29th birthdays! 

I have been friends with these ladies since we were 5 years old!!

We went to the musical Wicked with Cody and Brit one night!

 It was AMAZING!!

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary with a dinner with both sides of the family!

We read LOTS of after bath stories!

More evening walks around the lake!

Our apple tree grew apples!! Woo hoo!

We went for lots of morning walks with my mom and cooper!

We went to Taste of Edmonton! 

And I ate lots of deep fried pickles!! MY FAV!

Sophia spent lots of time hanging out with Grandma!

We had fun play dates with Genivieve and Henrik!

We spent some time at Damian's parents house in their beautiful backyard!

We took a family trip to the driving range!

We had a few game nights!

I got to go out one night for the first time since having Sophia! Woo hoo!!

We went and visited by Dad out at work at the golf course!

Sophia went golfing at the Mayfair for the first time!

She liked riding in the golf cart!

We were on 'pin' duty!

Golfing is exhausting! 

We went to the legislature grounds!

We went shopping with Jenna and Tyler!

We went to the Fringe!

We did LOTS of bbq-ing in the backyard! 

And discovered putting peanut butter on a hamburger is pretty much the best.thing.ever!!

We made yummy summer treats!

We went to the library!

We laid on the floor and watched Big Brother! ha ha!

We went to the Edmonton Zoo!

We went swimming as a family for the first time!

We spent as much time as we could with Cody since we 

don't get to see him for the whole hockey season!!

We have been waiting 4 months for it to fit her!! ha!

 It was a blast! And a blurr!
