June 2015

June was another busy month! And it was HOT! We had very little rain which is VERY odd for Alberta. This year I decided I wanted to plant a few vegetables in our back yard. We don't really have the ground space to have a large built in garden, so I decided to plant a bunch of 'garden boxes' on our deck. Sophia was my little garden helper and we managed to plant cucumbers, lettuce, zucchini, carrots, peas and strawberries! Sophia was helpful with the watering of the plants....but NOT very helpful when she decided that it was more fun to 'unplant' the vegetables and pull them out of the dirt! ha!

She's looking to see if I'm going to stop her from pulling those cucumber plants out...again!

The beginning of our garden!

This girl could eat an entire watermelon in a day!! She LOVES it!!
Brit and I went to the Shania Twain concert! It was a great show!!

Sophia made herself a little snack shelf in the kitchen!

We went to Lucas's 2nd Birthday party and they had a bouncy castle!
 Sophia LOVES to jump!!

I thought Damian was going to cry tears of JOY when
Sophia starting playing around with this golf set...ha!

Carrying her own bag! Off to a great start!

The big birthday boy!!

Hanging out with Aunty Lyndey! (and sitting on her poor baby! ha)

Lot's of FUN with the bubbles!

Love these two!!

Lucas checking out his cake!

Sophia was a fan of Lucas's sweet toys!

Silly boy!!

Me and my girl!

We entered the phase where Sophia throws ALL of her food off of her highchair tray...then insists on eating it off of the floor after we let her down!

Our favourite after dinner activity is heading to the park!!

For Father's Day I framed 3 pictures of Sophia, spelling out DAD!

I had about 20 pictures of her eating the letters!! ha ha!

My pretty girl!

I am very fortunate to be a part of an amazing Mom's Group with some wonderful ladies and their kiddos! At the end of June we had a celebration in honor of all of the kids turning ONE!! It feels like it was just yesterday that we were all meeting for the first time with these tiny little babies...and now look at them!!

Time for cupcakes!!

Love these ladies!!
Unfortunately with it being Summer, we were missing about 6 people!

We also celebrated Vanessa's 30th Birthday!

Damian got to enjoy his second Father's Day with Sophia!

She is very helpful with unwrapping gifts and cards!

We took Damian out for brunch on Whtye Ave!

Then we went to my parents house for a big family BBQ!
Damian's parents also came, so it was nice to have everyone together!

We are very lucky to have this guy!!

Celebrating these wonderful Father's!!

Best Dad and Grandpa in the world!!

Me and the boys!

My Mom asked the guys to help my Dad get this new plant in the ground after dinner...so I looked out the window and this is what I saw. Nice help boys!! ha! Poor Dad!!

We finally got some much needed rain, so it was time to try out the rain boots!
Our fearless child...who loves to climb ANYTHING!

Enjoying a HOT day with some fun in the water table!

Snack time!

Enjoying dinner on the deck!

I had the pleasure of heading back to MY old elementary school watch Anna graduate from grade 6 in June!! I have known Anna since she was 6 months old so I CANNOT believe that she is old enough to be heading to junior high in the Fall!

So proud of her!!

We picked up Sophia from the day home and then went for lunch after the ceremony!

Mmmm fresh berries from the Farmer's Market!

Heading out for a walk!

We went for pizza at Famosa with Damian's parents!

That look...
POOL TIME!!

She thought it was pretty fantastic that Damian got right in there with her!

Taking a break from the pool for some watermelon!

Trying to convince us that she should go swimming right before bed! Um no!

We had our first fire in our new backyard fire pit!

Sophia kept taking this shirt out of my laundry basket and dragging it around our bedroom. So Damian just put it on her and let her wear it. ha ha! She thought it was the greatest thing ever and wouldn't stop laughing!!

Helping Grandma make salad for Sunday supper!

Somebody LOVES pasta!!

Goodbye June! Hello July!!
